Nippon India Nifty Midcap 150 Index Fund NFO
Nippon India Mutual Fund has announced the launch of the Nippon India Nifty Midcap 150 Index Fund. The scheme would be investing in equity securities of the constituents of the Nifty Midcap 150 Index in the same allocational pattern.
The New Fund Offer (NFO) starts on 04th February 2021 and will end on 12th February 2021. The fund will re-open for continuous sale and purchase on or before 26th February 2021.
Investment Objective
The investment objective of the scheme is to provide long-term capital growth by generating returns closely corresponding to the returns of constituent securities in the Nifty Midcap 150 Index before expenses & subject to any tracking errors.
What is the Nifty Midcap 150 Index?
- Nifty Midcap 150 Index is the index representing the next 150 companies after the top 100 companies. The midcap companies are ranked from 101th-250th in terms of market capitalization.
- This index measures the performance and valuations of the mid-cap companies in the market.
- The index is based on the free-float market capitalization method.
- As of 15 January 2021, the index reflects 15.2% of the total market capitalization of the listed stocks on NSE.
