Phanisekhar Ponangi

He is one of the co-founders of Mavenark and leads the investment team. He is a seasoned professional with a strong background in finance. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter from the CFA Institute, USA and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Charter from CAIAA, USA. He has diverse and extensive work experience in the financial services sector, spanning approximately 20 years. In his two-decade career, he has primarily focused on financial analysis and investment management. Prior to co-founding Mavenark, he was Head of Investments (Fixed Income) at Klay Capital where he led the fixed income investments team in India. Prior to Klay, he was Business Head & CIO - Fixed Income PMS at Karvy Capital Limited where he built and scaled the fixed income portfolio management services (PMS) business ground up. He managed a peak Fixed Income PMS AUM upwards of INR 800 crores at Karvy Capital. Prior to Karvy Capital, he was an Equity Portfolio Manager with Karvy Stock Broking and Angel One (previously Angel Stock Broking). At Angel One, he practiced long-only equity investing and focused on asset allocation and security selection. He also set up the IT research practice and initiated benchmark coverage on stocks
