Sandeep has worked 13 years at GMO Emerging Markets as Portfolio Manager/Senior Analyst, co-managing US$3bn in assets across flagship EM strategies, including Fundamental Equity, Sustainable Equity, EM ex-China, and Quality Fund.Managed CEMEA & Korea portfolios (23% of MSCI EM Index) with responsibility for India country allocation and stock selection. 7 years at JM Financial MF managing equity portfolios of ~Rs30bn (US$500mn) across diversified, contrarian, thematic, and sectoral strategies. At JM MF, expanded AUM from Rs1bn to Rs50bn (2004–07); launched four new funds raising Rs1.2bn, pioneered India’s first arbitrage fund (2004), and delivered Top 100 global fund ranking (2007) for JM Financial Services Fund.Over a decade in senior sell-side research, including Head of Research at UTI Securities, BNP Paribas and Kotak–Goldman Sachs; as a member of BNP Paribas advisory team advised GoI on Hindustan Zinc’s disinvestment (2001).
