The idea of the policy is to cover treatment expenses of the policyholder in case of coronavirus diagnosis. The corona kavach policy is available in 3 different tenures – 3.5 months, 6.5 months & 9.5 months. The tenure includes a waiting period of 15 days. One can purchase this policy for an individual or a family floater policy. Family floater policy covers the entire family under 1 policy. In this case one does not need to track & maintain separate policies. Also, the premium is lower than purchasing separate policies. Sum insured in Corona Kavach Policy is between Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 5,00,000 in multiples of Rs. 50,000. Age limit for application is between 18 to 65 years.
