Nippon India Small Cap Fund

It is an open-ended equity scheme which primarily invests in small cap funds. The main objective of Nippon India Small Cap Fund is to create long-term wealth through investments in the equity of small cap companies. For the purpose of the fund, small cap companies are defined as the stocks below the top 250 companies in India in terms of market capitalization. The secondary goal of this scheme is to provide investors consistent returns through investments in money market securities and debt. The fund was launched on 16th September 2010.

Investment Philosophy

Small cap companies have huge growth potential with relatively low valuation as compared to mid-cap and large-cap companies. Nippon India Small Cap Fund aims to invest in growth businesses of reasonable size, rational valuation, and high-quality management capable of taking the business to new heights. 

Entry and Exit Load

Entry load is not applicable in the case of Nippon India Small Cap Fund. However, an exit load of one per cent is applicable in case an investor chooses to redeem or switch out of the scheme within one month from the date of allotment of mutual fund units. 

Minimum Investment Requirement

You can choose to invest in Nippon India Small Cap Fund in a lump sum amount or through SIP (systematic investment plan). The first lump sum investment must be at least INR 5000, while the subsequent lump sum investments can start from INR 1000. Moreover, you can start your SIP in Nippon India Small Cap Fund for as low as INR 100 per month.
